How I Can Help

Who I can Help

I work with adults, young people and children aged 5 and above who may be experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

You may be struggling with something specific, or simply feel that things have become difficult, overwhelming or hard to manage. You don’t need to have all the answers before coming to counselling.

Adults
I can support adults experiencing difficulties such as:

  • Anxiety, stress and feeling overwhelmed
  • Low mood and depression
  • Trauma and the effects of difficult experiences
  • Childhood trauma
  • Sexual or domestic abuse
  • Low self-esteem and confidence
  • Difficulties managing emotions
  • Relationship and family difficulties
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Workplace stress and burnout
  • Major life changes or transitions
  • Feeling stuck, lost or uncertain

If what you’re experiencing isn’t listed here, please don’t worry. Counselling isn’t about fitting into a particular category. It’s about having a safe space where your experiences can be explored with compassion, understanding and without judgement.

Children & Young People

Children and young people don’t always have the words to express how they’re feeling. Sometimes their emotions may show themselves through changes in behaviour, difficulties at school, withdrawal, anger, anxiety or simply seeming “not themselves”.

I provide a calm, safe and supportive environment where children aged 5 and above, and young people up to 18, can explore their emotions at their own pace.

I can support children and young people experiencing:

  • Anxiety and worries
  • Low confidence or self-esteem
  • Friendship and relationship difficulties
  • School pressures and challenges
  • Family changes or difficulties
  • Big emotions and difficulties with emotional regulation
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Changes in behaviour or mood
  • Difficult or traumatic experiences
  • Feeling overwhelmed, angry, withdrawn or misunderstood

My aim is to help each young person feel heard, understood and accepted, while supporting them to develop healthy and manageable ways of understanding and expressing their emotions.

Building trust is always the first step.

You don't have to face it alone

Whether you’re looking for support for yourself or you’re a parent concerned about your child, you don’t need to know exactly what you need before getting in touch.

We can have an initial conversation about what’s happening and explore whether counselling could be the right support for you or your child.
